Muse are playing a couple of gigs in Teignmouth, and I REALLY want to go, but I don’t think I can really afford it. I mean, I could, but I’m not sure whether I could actually justify it, especially as it’s the weekend before I go back to school.

But I don’t have any friends who are 18, so I’m pretty limited in where I can actually go (I’m thinking a foreign country). I’d like to go to the US, as I’ve never properly been, but I don’t really have the money to get there (though I suppose it does depend on the destination).

I think I’ve decided I’m gonna do shorter stuff on here, perhaps in a somewhat Twitter-like (inorite) fashion.

So yeah, been listening to a lot more Muse again, what with Uprisising being out (on the Muse site at least). It’s a beast tune, and I forgot how much I really do like them. I cannot wait for my birthday, as I’m going to see them in the evening.

Why hi.

So I kind of forgot to update this after France :3

BUT DON’T WORRY. I HAVE RETURNED. ALL IS WELL.

Now to talk about some various things I have done.

So, France was nice. The weather was ok, possibly a bit rainy, but not too bad. We did lots of DIY stuff, like laying Lino down, and painting doors, so that it’s a bit nicer when a load of people (including my parents and possibly me) go back there in late August for what will essentially be a massive PissUp. Also, I love the ridiculousness of French laws on alcohol. At 16, you can buy 13% Beers.

13%. Thirteen Percent.

THAT’S LIKE A BOTTLE OF WINE. IN BEER FORM.

So after thatttt, I saw Pendulum, which was pretty awesome. Very hot and sweaty, and there was this drunk weird Scottish dude, who kept trying to get a piggyback of his wife, and she kept punching him off, which was funny, but disturbing.

And today I drank about 10 cans of Vimto, which was probably not the best idea ever, but it was worth it.

Sooooo yeah. That’s probably the intresting things I’ve done in the last week or so.

It’s quite cool though. We went there today, with the intention of buying a couple of rugs, and came back with a load of chairs, a new filing cabinet, a load of stickers/pictures for my room.

OH GOD, IT'S MENACING!

So that was cool. The only downside is making the bloody stuff, which is so annoying, as it’s like “ALLEN KEYS” and it’s invariably difficult to get the bolts to bite into the thread for them.

Bands – Part 2.

Let me sum up my current feelings toward Band A.

Today’s practice was going alright for a while, playing through songs we all knew well, and then it was the “Oh lets play this song now.”

“This song” is the song that I’d not actually been properly told about, and had no idea about the structure or how it goes. So when a bassline is DEMANDED from me, and I can’t think of one off the top of my head, as I’ve only heard the song once fully, out pops this prewritten one by Mr Lead Guitarist, to which my reaction is “Well then why did you want me to make something, when you clearly already have an idea of what you want???”

Much frustration later, I had to resist the urge to throw my bass out the window, out of sheer annoyance, and then went home.

My sister has a dog.

And it has the same name as my mum.

So me and my brother spent a large portion of today drawing comparisons between the two. It’s quite a nice dog though, and I’m not really a dog person, so that’s something. It’s a Whippet, and it’s fairly quiet and peaceful, which is good, as jumpy dogs aren’t really my favourite thing.

SPOILER ALERT

Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime…

Though, they don’t have a garden…

And I’m not very asperges/autistic

So really, the chances of it actually turning into that book are fairly slim, but there’s always a chance!

On a side note, I realise I missed yesterday’s blog. Short reason as to why: Too lazy and couldn’t really think of anything.
